Mauvora started with a simple frustration: most outdoor furniture asks you to choose between looking good and actually holding up outside. We didn't want to make that trade-off, so we didn't.

Why We Started

We spent time looking at what was already out there — furniture that looked great in a showroom but faded, sagged, or fell apart after one real summer. So we set out to build pieces that could do both: hold their shape through actual weather, and still look like something you'd choose on purpose, not just settle for.

It's a simple standard, but it's harder to meet than it sounds. Most of the compromises in outdoor furniture happen quietly — a cushion that looks fine in a photo but loses its shape in a month, a frame that rusts after one wet season, a finish that fades faster than it should. We wanted to build around avoiding exactly those quiet failures.

How We Design

Every piece in our collection is designed in-house, from the first sketch to the final material choice. We think about the materials first — weather-resistant aluminum, powder-coated steel, woven PE rattan, solution-dyed fabrics — because durability isn't something you can add later. It has to be built in from the start.

We also design around real spaces: patios, balconies, porches, and backyards that get used, not just photographed. That means comfortable seating, sturdy frames, and finishes that age well instead of falling apart. A porch swing needs chains rated for real weight, not just a good-looking silhouette. A dining set needs a tabletop that survives rain, not just direct sun in a product shot.

Where We Are Now

Mauvora is a new company, and we're proud of that. This is our first collection, built slowly and deliberately — sofa sets, dining sets, swings, and lighting we'd genuinely want in our own outdoor spaces before we ever offered them in yours.

We're just getting started, and we're building this brand one considered piece at a time. That means a smaller catalog than some of our competitors, but every item in it earned its place — nothing added just to fill a category.
